Kenya - Kainamui Microlot - 1lb

Boasting a very classic Kenyan profile, this microlot from the the Kainamui factory in Kirinyaga has an extremely smooth body with notes of rhubarb, plum, and hibiscus. It's subtly sweet with just enough flavor to keep you coming back for more.

The Kainamui factory serves about 1,800 smallholder farmers in the New Ngariama Farmers Cooperative Society. Each farmer only has an average of 200 coffee trees on less than half a hectare of land. Many of these farmers also grow other crops such as macadamia nuts, eucalyptus, tea, corn, and bananas. This diverse ecosystem helps the coffee plants thrive and can enhance quality in the cup.
